President’s Message

Dear Members:

I am assuming the duties as president of this chapter a little sooner than I anticipated due to the need of Cindy Sanders to step down.  The Board of Directors met and endorsed the reshuffling of chapter officers, thus allowing me to step immediately into the president seat. This leaves 2 positions open for the chapter: president elect and a board of directors’ seat.  The Board has discussed these vacancies and will come up with an agreeable solution.  In the meantime, if you are interested in either of these positions, now is the time to volunteer!  I look forward to an interesting year and hope to see most of you at our meetings and educational events.  Our first meeting will be October 7.  September weekends are full with 2 conferences at DHMC at which I hope to see all of you!  Thank you for the opportunity to serve Chapter 3001.

 Respectfully,

       Roanne

Note of Thanks

Dear Members:
I have finished my term as president and want to thank you for your work and commitment in the past year.  I have started to read “Tea and Toast” and it is an excellent gift.  I find that there is a lot of substance to it and am reading it slowly to take it all in.  A great gift for me.  Thank you.

The North Hartland Lake was an excellent place for our picnic in June.  I will go back often.

Fondly,
        Eva

When reviewing and comparing compensation, it can be surprising what a difference a year can make.

Your participation is vital to identify income information for perioperative nurses nationwide. Complete the AORN 2006 Annual National Salary Survey! The report generated as a result of this survey will provide invaluable information for all perioperative nurses, covering areas such as salaries by geographic region or title, time spent on direct patient care and more. Detailed data analysis and an updated compensation calculator will be available to you in December.
