Hello there!

I hope you had a nice summer. It has certainly been a long dry one. The only green I have in my front lawn is that tenacious crabgrass! And how about those armyworms? Some folks had quite a battle with them! The weather has been quite interesting this year and one can only wonder what’s in store for us this winter. Thank heaven for the beautiful interlude of autumn.

My husband and I were camping up in the North Country and already we noticed some of the leaves are turning red. Pumpkins and mums as well as apples are for sale now.

It occurs to me that nature has given us this season as an opportunity to pause and reflect. With our hectic & chaotic jobs, we need to take time out to relax and take care of ourselves so we can take better care of our patients.

Wander down some country road, listen to the rustling leaves, inhale the fragrances of fall, and absorb the many colors of nature’s palette.

You owe it to yourself, after all, you are a Nurse, and like Donna Sumner’s song says, “You work hard for your money!”

  • New Hampshire Legislature is currently working on the Nurse Practice Act.

Specifically, it is concerned with the language used to define to whom a “licensed nurse” can delegate a task. (a licensed nurse being; advanced registered nurse practitioner, registered nurse, or licensed practical nurse). Only a licensed nurse can delegate care by a non-licensed healthcare worker.
