MARCH MEETING
The next meeting of AORN Chapter 3001 will held in
the Dwinell Room of Harvest Hill Assisted Living Complex
behind Alice Peck Day Hospital in Lebanon, N.H., on
Saturday, March 24, from 9 AM TO 12 PM. (Directions are
under directions on the web site aornnh.com) Follow the signs to the
Dwinell Room.
The program is “Complementary Therapies for
Perioperative Nurses” presented by Katherine Young,
RN, BS. Registration is $10.00, collected at the door.
Please pre-register by calling 603-448-7408.
Those who are attending the meeting and are able to
do so, are asked to bring something to knosh (muffins,
coffee cakes, etc.) Thank you in advance for doing so.
A business meeting will follow. On the agenda will
be a ballot of officers for the next year. We encourage
anyone interested, to become more active in the chapter
and run for one of the following positions.

The web site is up and running. A big Thank You to
Lorraine Heslop for all her time and commitment. She is
still working on the site and is asking for feedback.

This is for us, the nurses of Chapter 3001 and
anyone involved in the patients peri-operative course,

I have used the site. It has some very useful
programs and is user friendly.
The subject of the educational offering at our last
meeting, PNDS – Perioperative Nursing Data Set, The
Perioperative Vocabulary, was
presented by Suzanne Beyea RN, PhD. Suzanne is very open
to all who are interested in learning more about PNDS. Her
e-mail address is pnds@ aorn.org. I
encourage anyone interested to follow up with her. This is
an interesting and exciting idea that is finally here! I,
personally, would be very interested in using this in my
practice.
CHAPTER BY-LAWS
Changes in the
Chapter by-laws were read, voted on and accepted at our
last meeting. The amended by-laws are available on
aornnh.com under archives, chapter 3001 by-laws.
DELEGATES FOR
CONGRESS
Mike Chamberlain, Monty Wasileski, Joyce Hurd and
Cindy Sanders are representing Chapter 3001 at AORN
Congress this year. Please
contact one of these people, if you have any issues or
concerns that need to be taken to the national meeting.
